The New Zealand landscape had a reputation of being diverse and extraordinarily beautiful. The port of Akaroa did not disappoint, a cruise ship favourite, tourism booms during the peak season but sees few visitors in the off season. This place would be ideal to visit when cruise ships are not in port and the town isn’t packed with visitors. Escaping people was easy though, with easy walks up the hills for some incredible views.
